This is a photo of a proposal for an extension to the eiffel tower, for the 120th anniversary of the tower. It was designed by serero architects and is beautifully engineered, you can view their sketches on the site. However, the eiffel tower has over 6 million visitors per year, and 95% of them want to go to the top. The thought of adding this to the tower, and then testing it with 5.9 million people is a bit SCARY.

I personally would rather look at it then walk on it, but you be the judge.
