The New York Times reports on this in their blog article, but Jared Massey whose video of being tasered by a cop, went on YouTube and received more than a million hits, and he has recently been awarded $40,000 because after reviewing the video, the court has ruled that the cop didn’t attempt to arrest him before drawing his taser. So remember, if a cop ever taser’s you, at least you have a shot at paying your expenses for the year.
