So last time I was home I ended up venturing out to Bushwick to go to my boy Nate’s show. Well it was kind of his show. He’s the sound guy for Todd P, who books pretty ok shows in mostly in Brooklyn. A lot of his shows are really sceney but this was his first ever hip-hop show that we saw. It was at Don Pedro’s and it was not only off the chain but also devoid of douchebags. There were some ok opening acts, but Mapei killllled it. Everyone was feeling their set and towards the end Spank Rock got up and spit a verse or two which was off the chain. They’re Sweedish and I think it was their first show in America. I could be wrong about that. Either way, they’re amazing– peep their song Video Vixen from the Video Vixen EP here.
