The new coins are really quite beautiful, they were designed by London based graphic designer Matt Dent, you can view his portfolio here. All I have to say is, what a hell of a portfolio piece. Currently there are 28 billion coins in circulation which, if lined up next to each other would be almost 400,000 miles, the distance to travel around the world 16 times. And I thought a run of 100,000 was a lot.
